"Find JOY!"

Volunteer Joann Russo has a special place in her heart for GKTW because her daughter, Justine, was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma in 2003 and went away two years after Joann's husband. Joann's 6-year-old grandson will be visiting the Village in October after undergoing leukemia treatment. Joann, who volunteers at GKTW three to four times a year from Ohio, says, "Volunteering at GKTW has been life-changing; I've smiled, shed a few tears, but I'm also reminded how valuable our time on earth is." "Find JOY!" is my mantra. Being able to watch these kids happy is priceless." Joann, seen in blue with fellow volunteer Amy Keller, is thanked for her kind heart.
