According to Kristina Harshman, whose son Eli was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive brain tumor in January 2021, which required two craniotomies and six rounds of high-dose chemotherapy, as well as a stem cell transplant, GKTW is "a slice of heaven on earth." Our family's particular struggles are recognized and celebrated by the Village. Nobody has ever made our family feel so unique as a group of really joyful, loving volunteers. During their wish visit, which was coordinated by The Children's Dream Fund, Eli and his family had the good fortune of running across legendary Wheel of Fortune host and GKTW supporter Pat Sajak.
